Greater Than Services vs Semrush

We wrote this one, so read it that way. What follows is what each product is built for and when Semrush is the better choice, which is a question with a real answer.

No feature table, on purpose. A matrix authored by one competitor is never read as neutral, and rival pricing goes out of date silently, which on a page naming another company means publishing something untrue about them. Claims here were last checked on . For their current features and prices, read their site.

What Semrush is

A full marketing suite covering SEO, PPC, content, social and local, with an AI Visibility Toolkit and Enterprise AIO for AI search.

Built for: Everyone from solo consultants to enterprise. It is the default platform most SEO teams already have a seat on.

When to pick Semrush over us

You want one platform for every channel rather than a specialist for one. Their keyword and backlink datasets are among the largest in the industry and we do not attempt anything at that scale, so if traditional SEO is most of the job, buying AI visibility as another toolkit inside it is a reasonable call.

Where we take a different approach

We do one thing. A workspace per brand, five engines including Google AI Overviews, the raw answer text kept so you can read what was actually said, and generated fix code. For a team that already pays for a suite, we are the AI layer that goes deeper rather than the suite you replace it with.

Underneath that, the thing we optimise for is evidence you can check. Every answer an engine gave is stored and readable, so a score is never something you have to take our word for.

What to actually evaluate

Whichever way you go, these are the questions that separate these products. They are worth asking us too.

  • Which engines, and how are they queried?

Answers pulled from a model's API and answers taken from the live consumer product are not the same thing, and Google AI Overviews cannot be reached by API at all.

  • Can you read the raw answer?

A visibility score you cannot trace back to the text an engine produced is a number you have to trust.

  • Does it tell you what to change, and in what form?

Measuring and remediating are different jobs, and most tools in this category now claim both. The useful follow-up is what you actually receive: a recommendation, a draft, or code you can deploy.

  • What happens after you fix something?

The loop only closes if the tool re-measures and shows you whether the number moved.

  • What does it cost to run weekly?

Per-prompt pricing and per-brand pricing behave very differently once you are tracking more than a handful of questions.

See it rather than read about it

The trial runs a full check on your brand across all five engines and shows you the answers. That is a faster way to judge this than any comparison page, including ours.
